DaVinci Resolve is a post-production app that combines editing, color correction, visual effects, motion graphics, audio and photo editing. It's used on feature films and TV, and the free version is approachable for people just starting with video.

**Key features:**

- Edit on the cut page for fast turnarounds or the edit page for long projects with multicam, trimming and subtitle tools.
- Grade footage with HDR color wheels, curves, Power Windows, qualifiers and tracking.
- Create visual effects and motion graphics with Fusion's node-based 2D and 3D tools.
- Mix and master audio on the Fairlight page with up to 2,000 tracks, ADR tools and Voice Isolation.
- Color still photos on the Photo page, with native RAW files from Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon and Sony cameras.
- Work on the same timeline with other editors and colorists through Blackmagic Cloud.

DaVinci Resolve is free to download, including from the Mac App Store, which lists macOS 15.0 or later. DaVinci Resolve Studio, which includes over 100 GPU-accelerated Resolve FX, costs $236.
