HHKB Professional Hybrid Type-S is a compact 60-key keyboard designed by programmers, with silent Topre capacitive switches. It works with both Mac and PC and suits people who want their hands to stay on the home row.

**Key features:**

- Type on silent Topre capacitive switches with 45g key weight, rated for up to 50 million presses.
- Connect over USB-C or Bluetooth, with up to four Bluetooth devices.
- Pair and switch devices using Fn key shortcuts.
- Change keyboard behavior with six DIP switches.
- Pick one of three keyboard heights.
- Rely on textured PBT keycaps, including a PBT space bar, that stay dry and resist shine.

The charcoal model has an ABS frame, is made in Japan, and comes with a 2-year advance exchange warranty. The key map customization software needs a USB connection to a Windows PC. PFU America lists it at $299, down from $385.
