RØDE PodMic USB
Dynamic broadcast microphone with both USB-C and XLR outputs, onboard APHEX processing and a headphone jack
RØDE PodMic USB is a dynamic broadcast microphone for podcasting, streaming, voice-overs, and other speech recording. It plugs straight into a Mac over USB-C or into an audio interface or mixer over XLR.
Key features:
- Connect over USB for plug-and-play recording, or over XLR like a classic broadcast mic.
- Record with low noise through RØDE's high-gain Revolution Preamp on the USB output.
- Shape your sound with APHEX processing, using VoxLab or detailed controls for the high-pass filter, noise gate, compressor, Aural Exciter, and Big Bottom.
- Monitor with zero latency through the headphone output and its level control.
- Cut plosives and handling noise with the internal pop filter and shockmount, plus an included external pop filter.
- Plug it into iOS and Android phones and tablets for recording on the go.
It's a cardioid, end-address dynamic mic with a 20Hz to 20kHz frequency range. The free RØDE Central app for configuring settings and updating firmware requires macOS 11 or later. It comes with a five-year warranty and costs $209.
