Backdrop is a live wallpaper app for Mac from Cindori. It plays animated video scenes on your desktop and Lock Screen, chosen from thousands of community-made backdrops or made from your own videos.

Key features:

Play 4K video wallpapers on your desktop and Lock Screen.
Mirror one backdrop across displays or set a different one on each screen.
Search backdrops by style, color, mood, resolution, or creator.
Build playlists that shuffle or switch on a schedule.
Browse curated Collections in Discover.
Create backdrops from your own videos and share them with the community.

Playback pauses when an app goes full screen and uses fewer resources on battery. Backdrop requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later. It's free with up to three watermarked wallpapers, and the full library costs $1.99 a month, $14.99 a year, or $29.99 for a lifetime license.
