Loopback
Virtual audio device builder that routes and combines audio between apps and inputs
Loopback is an audio routing app for Mac from Rogue Amoeba. It combines audio from apps and input devices into virtual devices that any app can use, which is handy for podcasters, streamers, and screencasters.
Key features:
- Combine audio from multiple apps and physical devices into one virtual audio device.
- Route audio between channels with a wire-based interface, using up to 64 channels per device.
- Pass audio directly from one app to another with a Pass-Thru device.
- Monitor how a virtual device sounds through other outputs, in whole or in part.
- Adjust the volume of each source, the monitoring level, and the whole device.
- Nest one Loopback device inside another, and toggle parts of a device on or off without deleting them.
Virtual devices show up in any app, including FaceTime, Zoom, Logic, and GarageBand, and Loopback pairs with Audio Hijack. The current version runs on macOS 14.5 through macOS 27. The free download works as a trial with limitations until you enter a license key bought from Rogue Amoeba's store.
